  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large egg whites (room temperature)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, granulated sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, whip the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the dry mixture until just combined.
  5. Drop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart. If desired, sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serve.
