  • 3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 small bananas)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined, then mix in mashed bananas.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; fold in walnuts if desired.
  6. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden; cool on a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
