  3. Pour filling over cooled crust and bake for 55-60 minutes until slightly jiggly in the center. Cool gradually in the oven with the door ajar for an hour.
  4. For the pecan topping, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, heavy cream, butter, vanilla extract, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened (about 5 minutes). Let cool slightly before pouring over cheesecake.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
