  • 1 block extra-firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce, preferably Frank’s RedHot
  • 1 tbsp vegan butter

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 15-30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Slice tofu into rectangular strips (9-12 pieces).
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and salt until smooth.
  5. Place panko breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  6. Dip each tofu strip into the batter, then coat with panko breadcrumbs and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Combine buffalo sauce with melted vegan butter in a bowl.
  9. Toss baked wings in the buffalo sauce mixture until coated evenly.
  10. Serve immediately or bake for an additional 15 minutes for extra crispiness.
