  • 1 block extra-firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegan butter

Instructions

  1. Press tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15-30 minutes.
  2. Slice tofu into 9-12 rectangular strips.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and salt until smooth.
  5. Place panko breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  6. Dip each tofu strip in the batter, then coat in panko breadcrumbs and arrange on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Meanwhile, mix buffalo sauce with melted vegan butter in a bowl.
  9. After baking, dip each wing in the buffalo sauce mixture and return to the baking sheet.
  10. Optionally bake for an additional 15 minutes for extra crispiness.
