  • 4 lb boneless beef roast (beef butt or beef shoulder)
  • 3 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 large yellow onion (diced)
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 4 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Pat the beef dry and rub it with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  2. Place diced onion and garlic in the slow cooker along with chicken broth, lime juice, and orange juice.
  3. Add the seasoned beef to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or low for 7-9 hours until tender.

  5. Broil shredded beef on a baking sheet for 5-7 minutes until crispy edges appear.
