  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 inch piece of English cucumber (peeled and finely diced)
  • 6 pitas (or flatbreads)
  • 1 small romaine heart (chopped)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1/2 of a red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 of an English cucumber (thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing yogurt, garlic, dill weed, lemon juice, diced cucumber, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate until serving.
  2. Marinate the chicken by combining marinade ingredients in a bowl and coating the chicken breasts well. Let it marinate for 1 to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the marinated chicken for 5–7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Allow resting before chopping into pieces.
  4. Warm the pitas and layer with grilled chicken and fresh toppings. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce before serving.
