  • 30 oz frozen hash browns (thawed)
  • ½ cup butter (melted)
  • ¼ cup green onions (chopped)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk (warmed)
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 4 cups Corn Flakes
  • ½ cup butter (melted)
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a large 9 x 13 baking dish.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter with thawed hashbrowns and shredded chicken. Add chopped green onions and cheese; mix well.
  3. 3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt two tablespoons of butter; whisk in flour for one minute. Gradually add warmed milk while whisking until thickened. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, salt, pepper, and sour cream; mix until smooth.
  4. 4. Pour the sauce over the potato mixture; stir to combine and transfer to the baking dish.
