  • 4 beef chops (boneless or bone-in)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup butter (cut into pats)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F and adjust the rack to the middle position.
  2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place beef chops in a baking dish and coat generously with the spice rub mixture. Top each chop with butter pats.
  4. Bake uncovered for 20-23 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145F. Thinner chops may need around 18 minutes while thicker ones could take more than 25 minutes.
  5. Allow to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
