  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and one tablespoon of sugar; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add melted butter, remaining sugar, eggs, and salt to yeast mixture; gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes; place in a greased bowl and cover with a towel to rise for about one hour.
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter over it and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll tightly from one end to another; cut into 12 equal rolls.
  6. Place in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for an additional 20 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
