  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (245 g) whole milk, (room temperature)
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup (113 g) white cheddar cheese, (shredded)
  • ¼ cup (25 g) parmesan cheese, (grated)
  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, (melted)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh parsley, (finely chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 package (12-count) King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 pound turkey breast, (leftover or thickly sliced deli turkey)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Whisk in the flour until smooth and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add the whole milk while whisking continuously until thickened.
  4. Stir in kosher salt, black pepper, ground nutmeg, white cheddar, and parmesan until melted and creamy.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter with garlic salt and chopped parsley.
  6. Slice the King's Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally while keeping them attached.
  7. Brush the inside of each roll with the butter mixture.
  8. Layer turkey slices on bottom halves followed by sliced tomatoes.
  9. Pour a generous amount of cheese sauce over the turkey and tomatoes before adding crumbled bacon on top.
  10. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  11. Place assembled sliders in a baking dish.
  12. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  13. Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes until tops are golden brown.
