  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar + 1 tbsp

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and one tablespoon of sugar; let it froth for about ten minutes.
  3. Mix the yeast mixture with eggs and melted butter in a stand mixer or large bowl. Gradually add flour, remaining sugar, and salt until combined.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes until smooth.
  5. Oil a large bowl and let the dough rise covered for sixty minutes in a warm place.
