  • 11 ounces chicken sausage
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup dry white grape juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 small handful fresh basil (chopped/torn)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, crumble and brown the chicken sausage over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove excess fat from the skillet, then sauté minced garlic and grape juice until reduced.
  4. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and combine with heavy cream and tomato paste.
  5. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, and the slurry into the skillet.
  6. Add the browned sausage back into the skillet and simmer until thickened.
  7. Toss cooked pasta with the sauce mixture and serve with fresh basil on top.
