Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-oz) salmon fillets (skin on)
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 tbsp salted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the herb butter by combining softened butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, and parsley in a small bowl.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
  3. Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottom skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Season both sides of the salmon fillets with sea salt and black pepper.
  5. Place the salmon in the skillet skin side down and press gently for the first 10 seconds. Sear for about 5–6 minutes until mostly opaque.
  6. Flip the salmon carefully, add the herb butter mixture around it, and cook for an additional minute, monitoring doneness to reach your preferred temperature.
  7. Spoon some melted lemon butter sauce over the salmon before serving.
