  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk

  • Chopped green onions (optional)
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes, carrots, and garlic in a stock pot with water until tender (about 20 minutes).
  2. Stir in the chicken base and parsley; season with salt.
  3. In a separate pot, melt butter, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk to form a smooth white sauce.
  4. Combine the white sauce with the vegetable mixture.
  5. Mash to your desired texture and serve with optional garnishes.
