Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped caramel squares
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat.
  2. Cut caramel squares into small pieces and mix them with chocolate chips and chopped pecans in a bowl; reserve half for topping later.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
  4. Cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients along with the add-ins (except reserved half).
  6. Use a cookie scoop to form dough balls and press reserved add-ins onto each ball.
  7. Place on the baking sheet, spacing them three inches apart, and bake for 10-14 minutes. Cool on the sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
