  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped bell pepper
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cans beef and beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a cast iron skillet or large frying pan over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Add chopped onion and bell pepper; sauté until softened. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in salt, black pepper, BBQ sauce, and canned beef and beans until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 1 ½ quart casserole dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, then return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
