  • 6 cups water (7 cups if not soaking beans)
  • 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp chicken fat or raw chicken pieces
  • 1 bay leaf (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and sort the dry pinto beans to remove stones or debris.
  2. Optional: Soak the beans overnight in warm water to enhance texture.
