  • 8 ounces medium egg noodles
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 ½ cups sliced onion
  • 1 head cabbage (cored and thinly sliced)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 3 slices turkey bacon (chopped, optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a deep skillet over medium-high heat, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving drippings in the skillet.
  3. Add sliced onions and cabbage to the skillet; sauté until wilted (about 8-10 minutes).
  4. Return the drained noodles and turkey bacon to the skillet. Toss gently to combine.
  5. Stir in salted butter, kosher salt, and freshly ground pepper to taste.
